What’s the timeline?

Social Income aims to open to the public by 2021, with the goal of reaching as many recipients as possible.

Our long-term goal is to create a system of wealth redistribution for people in need, paid for by volunteer contributors from across the world.

Pilot Phase

in progress

We started paying out Social Incomes to a small community in Sierra Leone in March 2020.

We are working with a small team on-site to lay the groundwork for Social Income’s next steps.
Covid-19 Update
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we’ve decided to accelerate the Pilot Phase and open our Priority Access (initially reserved for the founding team and partners) to the general public.

Development Phase

July 2020

The project’s next phase will see us working with more contributors to reach a larger number of people in need.

We’ll optimize our online framework for making direct payments to recipients, as well as establish a method and a set of criteria to measure the project’s impact (using quantitative and qualitative data, among other things).
You want to be part of our team to make this happen? Get in touch with us.

Public Phase

2021

The project’s public phase will progressively roll out Social Income to recipients and contributors on a larger scale.
This phase will be open to the general public.
